Smirnoff Ice – 'The Ice Age is Back'
JWT approached BrandsRock and asked us to manage several activations for the Smirnoff Ice South African relaunch. Partnering with Hilltop Live and their Campus Invasion Tour, BrandsRock ran a Smirnoff Ice Photobooth and accompanying sampling sessions at the seven top campuses across the country.
The Photobooth included a live upload to the Smirnoff Ice Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/Smirnoffsa) and a unique trigger mechanism that allowed partygoers to take their own pictures.
At the end of the relaunch there had been 2 451 Samples, 2 960 T-Shirt Giveaways and 6 555 Facebook Uploads. The cumulative result of these activations was a successful reintroduction of the Smirnoff Ice brand to students around South Africa.
